GIMME SHELTER is a documentary about the infamous Rolling Stones concert at Altamont Freeway in December 1969. This concert has received its notoriety in that it began as a complete chaos and the death of 18-year-old Meredith Hunter reached its tragic climax. The Stones were playing namely with a few other bands (such as Jefferson Airplane) free of charge, however, was the logistics of this concert a disaster, the stage only a meter high, there was no organization and to make matters worse, were as Security hired the Hell's Angels, leading to constant fights led to the stage - wars of the angels are then also, of Meredith Hunter in front of the stage and was stabbed to death in front of the cameras.
